What is axe throwing?

Axe throwing is a sport that involves competitors throwing an axe at a target, trying to get as close as they can to the bullseye. At Class Axe you and your friends will spend 1.5 hours learning, practicing and then finally squaring off toe to toe in a group tournament that will result in the crowning of an Axe Throwing Champion.  Our Axe Throwing sessions are run by trained experts who will show you how to safely handle an axe and chuck it with accuracy while giving you plenty of tips along the way.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. Guests must be 12 years and older to enter the axe throwing facility. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Why would I want to throw an axe?

Axe Throwing has been a popular pastime in Canada for over 10 years, and is now gaining popularity in the U.S.  Learning the sport of Axe Throwing in a safe and controlled environment from an experienced instructor is a great way to be introduced to the sport.

Can you bring your own food and drink?

Will someone teach me how to throw an axe?

Absolutely!  You will be with an instructor at all times.  The first half an hour of your experience is spent learning the safety rules and procedures of how to handle an axe.  With proper instruction, practice and by following our guided procedures, you will be able to safely throw an axe by the end of your session.

What happens if my party is running late?

If your party is running late, even if you call, you will need to be rescheduled.

Are you ADA accessible?

Yes! We are ADA accessible.

How much does it cost?

Bookings start at a price of $32.99 per person when booking groups of 4 to 10 people. Bookings of less than 4 people will pay a flat rate of $99.99.

Is axe throwing safe?

Yes.  Throwing axes is similar to other target sports. Provided that participants follow the instructions and safety rules explained by our staff and use common sense, throwing an axe is safe.  Our experienced and highly trained staff are in the throwing arena with you while training and monitor your throws for safety throughout your session process. Only participants that have gone through our safety course are allowed to enter the throwing arena.  There is no passing of axes between players and players must follow specific instructions from their axe instructor.

What should I wear?

We are open snow or shine! The Sweaty Yeti isn’t afraid of a little snow, but he does dress warm during the winter. So check the weather! Sweaty Yeti is open snow or shine. We offer fire pits, patio heaters, and warming huts, but dress for cold weather. Closed toe shows are a must! Be comfortable and wear no restricting clothes.

Do you close for snow?

No, we are open snow or shine! The Sweaty Yeti isn’t afraid of a little snow, but he does dress warm during the winter. That being said, we do prioritize your safety, and if a blizzard is coming to Denver our customer support team will reach out to you first! If you have a reservation on a snow day and haven’t heard anything from us, we are still open!

How many people can participate?

There can be up to 10 participants per range, and each of our ranges has two throwing lanes.

How do I use a voucher code?

GO THROUGH ALL STEPS AS NORMAL:

  1. Choose the date, time, and number of participants.
  2. Enter your name, email, and phone number. Then the payment window will pop up.
  3. Underneath all of the price listings, there will be a button that says “Have a Code”.
  4. Press the button, and you can enter your voucher code. If it’s a Groupon, then it’s an 8-letter code.

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds.

Will we be with other people?

You will have a private lane for your group. You will never be grouped with other people.

Do I have to wear a mask?

In accordance with local and CDC guidelines, masks are optional.

Can I tip my instructor?

Yes! Tips are always appreciated but not necessarily necessary.

How long is a session?

Sessions are 1.5 hours long.
